Sunday, August 6th was a “sweet day” at The Cottages of Carmel. Our 2017 Watermark Kids, Kyra and Kamori Rogers, along with their mother joined our residents for a bake sale. They had cookies, cupcakes, and brownies too. If you have a sweet tooth this was the place to be.
Community Liaison Yolanda Thompson, with resident Donna Treadwell, helped Kyra and Kamori set up the bake sale table with all the wonderful goodies. Watermark for Kids is a non-profit organization created by Watermark Retirement Communities to help financially underserved youth. As the day went on we were happy to hear how our kids were doing. Kamori is busy using her new computer working on her graphic art designs. Kyra is attending her Martial Arts classes and feels she is developing stronger interpersonal skills.
Thank you to everyone who supported the bake sale or made donations. The bake sale was a great success!
