Family Member Testimonial – The caregivers always treated my father with respect and compassion.

While we take pride in the care and services provided to our residents, hearing from those we serve is our greatest testament.

Dear Holly (Executive Director),

My family and I would like to thank you and all the staff for how they treated my father over the past few years. Everyone from the receptionist to the cleaning people said “Hello Tom” and stopped to talk with him. It always brought a smile to his face.

The caregivers did a great job-always treating him with respect and compassion (and we all know how difficult that can be with an Alzheimer’s patient). But somehow, they always were able to get him threw his daily activities with a smile.

In particular Jose and Amanda were fantastic. My dad knew he was in good hands with these two special people who became friends and loved him, and that he loved. They always went out of their way to make sure he was well taken care of. They treated him like family.

In his final days they both watched over him and constantly made sure he was as comfortable as possible. They also helped the family through a tuff time and kept us informed of any development. It was comfortable to us that he died with Jose by his side. We think of both Jose and Amanda as extended family.

PS: I hope his “clothing” record at The Cottages stands for a long time. Hard to believe anyone could get themselves dressed with more than 6 shirts and three pairs of pants at the same time…
